so what makes a great cult movie ?

or any cult movie ?

is it one you watch over and over with friends and repeat lines at school or at work? is it one that epitomizes an era, a movement or a group of people? or is it just a popular independent film? or an unpopular mainstream movie that eventually finds it's niche. maybe one that catches your attention early in the film and lets you enjoy the very unique ride? cult movies definately don't follow the typical hollywood formula, or spend millions on sets or famous actors. cult movies used to be defined as low-budget '50's horror movies, or B movies that, later, became popular. the best i can describe them is interesting films that present an unexpected story in a unique way that somehow finds their way into our hearts and minds.

some of these movies are classic, some are retro (baby boomers and the late baby boomer generation, also referred to as "toddler boomers"), many are from generationX, some are from generation dot com (also referred to as "generation question mark") and a few are from the echo generation.
